The number one reason you should outsource your marketing communications!

There are perhaps many. However, in my experience the most valid reason for hiring a freelance or marketing communications firm is time. I am not referring to being in the crunch and benefitting from an extra pair of hands – that probably too – but for the purpose of this post I am referring to time in the sense of not making the copywriting burden your or one of your staff members problem.

Not many copywriters admit to it easily, but in the end, except for some natural talent, our greatest assets are exposure and experience. Many people could have been successful copywriters, some receptionists, doctors, mechanics and etcetera. The same also applies to copywriters. Given different choices they might have been successful lawyers, HR managers, engineers.

You should outsource your copywriting needs and marketing communications to a professional copywriter because it is what they constantly do – not because he or she is the best author. Yes, passion and skill plays a great part in our business but realistic expectations are also important. Given the ideal freedom, information, time and skill level, a copywriter can offer a fresh perspective on how your customers see your company and what they want to hear.

In my next post, I’ll address what to look for before deciding on the ideal candidate for managing and creating your marketing communications needs.
